PS3 fails? Not exactly. As far as graphics processors go, the Playstation 3 has 550MHz as the Xbox360 has 500MHz. Quite a comparable difference in clock speed. However...

The Xbox360 has a 3.2 GHz PowerPC with 3 dual-threaded processor cores. The Playstation 3 has 3.2 GHz Cell processor with 7 single-threaded synergistic processing units cores (not directly comparable to Xbox 360 processor cores). However, this means that the Xbox360 has less graphical power, but can handle more models on the screen at a time. PS3 has 22.4GBps while the Xbox360 has 21.6GBps. (Not a noticeable difference between Memory bandwidth, but if you're touchy about this kind of thing, that's for you to decide.) The Playstation 3 has more strength as far as power, speed, and detail goes.

The PS3 is bluetooth compatible and allows Blu-ray movies in addition to normal DVD movies to run playback within it. Xbox360 only has a 12x Dual-Layer DVD drive. Online is also free on the PS3 while the Xbox360 charges 100$ initial fee and a monthly payment that supplies a fairly large online community. (The PS3 online connectivity is actually stronger.) Oh yeah, and the PS3 has backwards compatibility on most models. And if you own a PSP, it can connect with it and use remote play.

The only thing that it goes down to is the array of games. Like Square Enix? Hit up the PS3. Like Valve? Go Xbox. (And obviously, if you like Nintendo, go wii, but it sucks because it only runs on 480p.) Both consoles are considerably powerful engines, so it's up to your taste.

But with all due honesty, the PC owns all of these (Depending on how strong it is.) It has the best Internet Browsers/Media Players and has the most features among all of these. Instead of buying a game console, you really should be spending more money on improving or buying a new computer. It has a great array of games, including most of the Call of Duty series. Definitely the best hands down.

i own a 360 but i'd rather have a ps3 and im thinkin about getting one after i get my aimpoint and aimpoint magnifier sooo it might be a little while haha

all i can say is that xbox 360 has better online has i have both and easy to play games on cuz all i use my ps3 for is to watch DVD on blue ray but i think xbox 360 and ps3 are like becoming a pc if you think about it like xbox you can go on facebook msn twitter and ps3 has blue ray but pc will always be the best has you build it yourself so it can be very good or go to the shop and the games on pc where are live(idk about you guys)are cheaper so pc ftw and also ps3 copy xbox abit with the guid botton on the controller
